Voluntary Recall of Allergy Drugs for Children

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) – Buzzagogo, Inc., a homeopathic nasal swab company, recently announced a voluntary nationwide recall of Allergy Bee Gone for Kids Nasal Swab Remedy due to possible microbial contamination.

FDA testing found that some products contained elevated levels of yeast and mold and may contain the bacterium Bacillus cereus.

The recall is of particular importance to immunocompromised children, where use of the affected product could result in serious or life-threatening outcomes, including pneumonia, bacteremia/sepsis, invasive fungal rhinosinusitis, or disseminated fungal infection.

In non-immunocompromised patients, the product could lead to infectious complications, but the results would be less severe and more responsive to treatment.

Buzzagogo, Inc. has not received any complaints regarding the products. The recall is a precautionary measure based on the results of FDA testing.

The affected products have an expiration date of 8/2024, a lot number of 2006491, and a UPC code of 860002022116. They were sold to wholesalers nationwide and online on the company’s website and on Amazon.com.

Anyone who has the product can contact the company at [email protected] for a full refund. You can also call 800-963-2861, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
