Meghan Markle appears on the Ellen DeGenerous Show

This is not an exercise! Meghan Markle finally had her first talk show appearance of the day in over a decade in an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the November 18 sit-down interview, the Duchess of Sussex shared some fun, straightforward tidbits about her family. She even revealed a cute, never-before-told story about her and Prince Harry before they went public.

In a teaser clip, she said that while she and Harry were dating, of course, they had to keep their relationship under wraps. And what better way to do that than turning an “incognito” date into a Halloween party with a post-apocalyptic theme ?! “He came to visit me in Toronto and our friends, his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, came too,” Meghan said of Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank. “The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes just for a fun night on the town before it was born we were a couple.” It may be hard to believe that the two could keep their romance a secret from the world in such a public place, but the bizarre party theme helped them get away with it.

Speaking of Halloween, Meghan also shared the adorable costumes Archie and Baby Lilibet wore for the spooky holidays this year. “We wanted to give the kids some fun, and then the kids just weren’t up to it,” she said. “Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes.” Ellen then interjected, “No, not even five minutes. Finally Harry persuaded him to put the hat on. But Lili was a skunk.” “Like flower from Bambi“Added the Duchess.

During the rest of the interview, Meghan also spoke more about family life, her auditions from her time as an actress, and hers New York Times Bestseller children’s book, The Bank – what started out as a poem for Harry. And of course you Ellen The look wouldn’t be complete without doing a hilarious sketch – which included Street vendors joke.

We are very pleased that the Duchess is returning to daily television! In case you missed it, check out one of the sneak peek videos below.
