MediBuddy has seen 76 percent growth since February 2021 when the second wave of COVID-19 peaked. Findings and data from the health platform showed that they received a maximum of requests in five departments – COVID-19-related care (104 percent), mental health (82 percent), women’s health (73 percent), pediatrics (56 percent), and orthopedics (52 percent) Percent), according to a statement from the company.
The data suggests that users were more aware, cautious, and sought medical help for common COVID-19 symptoms such as a cold, fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.
In addition, the platform also saw a sharp increase in inquiries related to intimate health and women’s health, according to the statement. Users consulted doctors on the platform about various health problems related to PCOS, vaginal yeast infection, contraceptive methods, etc. There were also increased inquiries from parents regarding baby coughs and colds, missed vaccination cycles, fever, urinary tract infections, diarrhea, etc. Orthopedic issues included joint pain , Spine problems, knee pain, muscle pain and back pain.
In addition, MediBuddy has worked with over 350 hospitals in 130 cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Noida and Kochi to help state governments run vaccination campaigns. The company will provide vaccination to over 700 companies helping 15 million people in vaccination camps, the statement said.
